ATLAS is zone and operations intelligence for NGOs, research teams and health programmes: it puts every enumerator and outreach worker on one map by zone, so survey coverage and field performance run on data instead of gut feel.
NGOs, research organisations and public-health programmes send people across a territory to reach communities: enumerators who run household surveys, community health workers who make follow-up visits, and coordinators who have to finish a survey round or outreach campaign inside a fixed window. Every community has a place, a number of households to reach and a team that has to be there. Need does not spread evenly. Hard-to-reach areas, seasonal access, local events and repeat call-backs pile work into one part of the territory while another finishes early.
ATLAS is the layer that shows the field team as it is being deployed. It connects read-only to the data collection, case management and programme systems you already run, groups communities and households into decisionable zones, and gives coordinators and programme managers coverage, performance and planning intelligence on the same map. See the platform or how it works.
A survey plan drawn by district list can look balanced and still hide the problem. Incomplete households, refusals and call-backs cluster by area, shift with the week and the season, and move with road access and community events.
ATLAS groups your communities into a small number of decisionable zones instead of hundreds of individual villages or blocks, then shows what each zone is carrying: households targeted, households completed, call-backs outstanding and the enumerators and outreach workers present, by zone, day and week.
A coordinator opens the map midway through a survey round and sees two zones where completion is furthest behind plan, while a third zone has teams finishing early with time to spare.
Survey teams are usually given fixed assignments. Each team gets a similar number of households or communities regardless of how long those places take to reach and complete, and the shortfall only shows up late, as a missed quota or a gap in the data.
ATLAS compares the field time a zone needs against the time it actually gets, and gives coordinators one live coverage read per zone instead of an assignment plan that looked right when it was set.
An enumerator is unavailable and their zone drops below the coverage it needs in the final week of a round. The coordinator sees it and asks a nearby team with a lighter load to take the outstanding households, instead of finding out when the data is reviewed.
Enumerator and outreach-worker performance is usually judged on totals: surveys completed, households visited, forms submitted. That quietly favours whoever has a compact, easy-to-reach area and penalises whoever covers dispersed settlements with long travel between households.
ATLAS links which person covered which zone, and when, to what came out of it: visits completed on schedule, surveys finished, call-backs resolved and travel time between visits. Because it is zone-level, two people can be read against comparable ground.
Two enumerators complete the same number of surveys. ATLAS shows one works a dense urban neighbourhood, while the other travels between scattered rural settlements, so the coordinator reads their results accordingly.
Outreach campaigns, follow-up rounds and extra survey effort tend to be spread evenly across a territory, or aimed at wherever the last complaint came from.
ATLAS reads visit and survey data by zone, so you can see where field effort lines up with completion, where coverage keeps slipping, and where you are short of field time, and aim the next campaign or follow-up round accordingly.
A programme plans a follow-up outreach push. ATLAS shows two zones with low completion and growing call-back backlogs and a third where coverage is consistently on plan, so the team concentrates extra visits on the first two and reviews the third.
Built on the ATLAS platform: live zone intelligence, coverage health, performance tracking by zone and a plain-English analyst, all on your own data.
Where your communities, visits, enumerators and outreach workers actually sit, by zone, day and week.
One live read on whether field time matches real need, not a fixed assignment plan.
Link who covered which zone to surveys completed, call-backs resolved and travel time against plan.
Aim outreach rounds and extra visits at the zones where effort is needed, and review the ones where it is not.
